Ingredients:
  • 2 Large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 Cucumber, diced
  • 1 Green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Roopak's onion salad masala (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
  • Start by slicing the onions thinly and dice the tomatoes and cucumber. If you like some heat, finely chop a green chili as well.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced onions, diced tomatoes, diced cucumber, and chopped green chili if using.
  • Sprinkle Roopak's onion salad masala over the vegetables. Start with a small amount and adjust according to your taste preferences. Remember, the masala is usually quite flavorful, so you don't need to add too much.
  • Add salt to taste. Be mindful as the masala might contain salt already.
  • Toss the vegetables gently until the masala is evenly distributed.
  • If desired, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the salad for a tangy flavor.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves for a pop of color and extra freshness.
  • Serve immediately as a side dish to your meal, or as a topping for grilled meats or sandwiches.
